March 30th and 31st

Base camp and antenna setup in full swing.

To minimize premature awakining of the bat population we set the traps just outside the entrance to the site.

Two 3'x3' harp traps are being used to capture the emerging bats.

On the evening of the 30th we caught two little browns (Myotis lucifugus)

On the 31st we caught 1 eastern pipistrelle (Pipistrellus subflavus), one little brown,

and one northern longeared bat (Myotis septentrionalis).

Both nights were very cold, it got down to 28 degrees F on the 30th.
